This book has been written to introduce the language teacher to one method of teaching objectives. It deals with one par-rat ticular approach to language teaching, in which the language is divided up into func-uad tions, and throughout the book there is spec-ial emphasis on the role of the teacher as bo an animator responsible for co-ordinating the rather than as a lecturer.
