In each book an introduction presenting important current issues in the area under consideration is followed by examples and discussion of actual classroom materials and techniques. Computer Assisted Language Learning presents a large number of practical, communicative activities based on a variety of computer programs. The book is designed to be used by teachers with any degree of experience in CALL. There are three chapters the first is an introduction to the types of software used in the book. The authors have deliberately chosen programs which exist for most standard machines. The second chapter contains a bank of ideas for the use of computers in the classroom, and the third chapter has schemes of work which show the use of computers with students at different levels of English.
