TEACHING PRACTICE HANDBOOK contains practical ideas and suggestions for EFL teachers in training and covers all the major areas dealt with on the R.S.A. Preparatory Certificate (TEFL) and other comparable training courses.
Five chapters deal with aspects of a teacher training course: how to get the best out of teaching practice, the role of the teacher, classroom management, teaching strategies, teaching techniques; and a final chapter is addressed to the teacher trainer.
Each section includes exercises for experiment and practice, either with foreign learners or the trainee peer-group.
Roger Gower and Steve Walters are both principals of Bell Schools; Roger Gower at Cambridge and Steve Walters at Bath. They are closely involved with the RSA Preparatory Certificate and this book will help both tutor and trainee to utilise teaching practice time constructively. |
